I spent 12 years in cardio-thoracic surgery. I gave it up 20 years ago. I believe the reason that so many doctors remain silent, aside from the harm it may cause to their career, is that they are afraid of being exposed for the degree to which they are dangerously uninformed on important medical issues such as vaccines: and how heavily they rely on the corrupt pharmaceutical industry to tell them what to think. The internet has been a source of frustration to physicians. They resent it when patients reference medical information they found online. But the sad truth is that the internet has pulled back the curtain on the health industry to reveal a profession grossly lacking in the knowledge and expertise to which they base their ridiculous salaries.
